Christian joins the group
Welcome to Christian Arenas who has joined our group from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain. Christian is starting his PhD, which is a joint project between our group and Dr Eddie Cussen at the University of Strathclyde to work on the high throughput synthesis of electrode materials. Welcome!
Max visits the group
Welcome to Max Terban, who is visiting our group from Columbia University where he is working as a graduate student with Prof Simon Billinge. Max joins us on a Columbia University/University of Glasgow research exchange fellowship. He will be working on nanoparticle synthesis for use in conserving artefacts from the Mary Rose. Welcome to the… Continue reading Max visits the group
Positions available in our group!
Four positions are available in my research group from October 2015 (two postdoctoral positions and two PhD studentships). Please see the attached PDF file for more information. If you have any queries about these, please email me (serena.corr@glasgow.ac.uk)
Josefa awarded RSC Solid State group travel bursary
Congratulations to Josefa who was awarded a travel bursary from the RSC Solid State group. Josefa travelled to the Gordon Research Conference on Solid State Compounds and Materials for Emerging Technologies and Sustainable Energy Generation. You can read Josefa's report on the meeting in the latest RSC Solid State Group newsletter, here.
EPSRC grant award to Corr group
The group have been awarded a SUPERGEN Energy Storage Challenge grant from the EPSRC for £1.2 million. The project, entitled “Design and high throughput microwave synthesis of Li-ion battery materials”, brings together groups from Glasgow (Dr Serena Corr [PI], Prof Duncan Gregory, Prof Nikolaj Gadegaard), Strathclyde (Dr Eddie Cussen), Loughborough (Dr Pooja Panchmatia), UCL (Dr… Continue reading EPSRC grant award to Corr group
PhD position available from Sept 2015
Applications are welcomed for a PhD position available in our group to work on high throughput routes to nanostructured materials for energy storage.
