Congratulations to PhD student Lianne Jordan who was awarded Best Poster Prize at the 2018 Synchrotron Radiation and Neutrons in Art and Archaeology Conference, for her work on cellulise-SrCO3 nanoparticle trestments for the Mary Rose in collaboration with Professor Eleanor Schofield and the Mary Rose Museum. Selective synthesis of Na-S battery materials
Congratulations to Hany on his latest work on Na-S battery materials appearing in Inorganic Chemistry. Hany has developed a new microwave-assisted approach to selectively synthesising Na2S and Na2S2 (α and β phases) which show promising electrochemical activity: Selective and Facile Synthesis of Sodium Sulfide and Sodium Disulfide Polymorphs
Congratulations to PhD student Beth Johnston who won a 3 minute thesis presentation prize at the recent Carnegie PhD Scholars Gathering 2018. Beth presented some of her latest results on nickel-containing cathodes for Li-ion batteries. Well done Beth!
